My Work Break
ACT to foster happiness, peace,
prosperity, and tolerance in the Middle East
Ah, books!!! We are blessed that we live with great
accessibility to knowledge. Finding books that you are interested in has
never been easier. Many resources are out there:
- Check out if the book is available online for free.
For example, Google has a section for text books that makes available
sections or even the entire book available for you to read:
- Check out if the book is available in your public library
or your university library. You will be surprised with what they have.
- Check online book retailers. Don't limit your
search to amazon, but also check
Barnes & Noble.com Home Page
and other sites and
compare prices. Don't stop at the prices only but also compare the
shipping and tax charges.
- Ask your friends if they have the book. Even if
they live away, they can mail it to you at a minimal charge. In the
United States, the media mail rates for books, DVD, videos, is much cheaper
than the regular rates.
