We are living in a time where the amount of available information around us is phenomenal. Yet, it is still the beginning of a great tech revolution and more and more will be available and presented in many ways. The internet offers a plethora of ways for finding software (games, programs), pictures (jpg, jpeg, gif...), audio (mp3..) and video files (mpeg, wmv..), and more. All what you need is little time, the will to search, and the gained knowledge of knowing where to look. For now, I would like to offer these tips:
- Utilize the advanced search options in the search engines. Google, Yahoo, and MSN leads the way in this.
- Utilize specialized audio and video search engines. Singingfish leads the pack in my opinion.
- Utilize UseNet and discussion groups boards. Plenty of media is disbursed worldwide via online groups and communities.
- Don't limit your search to the English language. Check sites in other languages: Chinese, French, German.... If you only know English, utilize the search engines language tools to get the translations of the subjects matters you are interested in.
- Organize your downloads. Don't scatter the downloaded files. Remember, well begun is half done!
